The Can-Oat North Stars were crowned the new titleholders at the end of the third annual Simplot Western Canadian Pond Hockey Championship yesterday with a 29-25 victory over McCain Foods Ltd. in the title game played at the Portage Industrial Exhibition fairgrounds.
